Deadpool 2 spinoff might take place.
Before Disney purchased Fox and acquired all of the highest marketable assets. It appeared as X-Force would add up a new element onto the X-Men franchise. The Cabin in the Wood’s Drew Goddard has spent several years in the writing and directing a spinoff. The spinoff would bring the focus on Josh Brolin’s Cable.
X-Force had already been featured in the big screen mythology at the particular point. However, in Deadpool 2, the team’s participation has laughed out. The huge amount of recognizable talent that was gathered for the list. It was quite matching with the disrespectful nature of the Merc with a Mouth that they all were destroyed in one single scene of space.
Who will not be there in the X-Force?
Bill Skarsgard’s Zeitgeist, Rob Delaney’s Peter, Terry Crew’s Bedlam, Brad Pitt’s Vanisher, and Lewis Tan’s Shatterstar all met a gruesome end even before they could begin their very first mission. They would have been more capable if they were to lead the X-Force alongside Domino, Cable, and Deadpool.
Deadpool 3 is currently in the development stage at the Marvel Studios. Also, the X-Men reboot is also happening simultaneously. However, It doesn’t seem like Kevin Feige and the team has any plans for the remaining X-Force characters. It is quite a disappointment as earlier in an interview Lewis Tan admitted to having plans for a Shatterstar (Deadpool 2) spinoff.
“When I signed on it was fairly hidden from me what was going to happen. Once I found out I was still excited. working with Ryan Reynolds and David Leitch was such a good experience, and I love the characters of both Deadpool and Shatterstar. Of course, now I fell in love with playing him and would love to do a spinoff where we can explore Mojoworld in a Mad Max-meets-Gladiator type of way, that would be a dream.”
Tan is an amazing and awarded martial artist. His achievements have been rising continuously since Deadpool 2. And imagining him leading a superhero movie that too inspired by Gladiator and Mad Max is definitely something to be excited for. However, it feels really disheartening to listen to what’s actually happening. The chances of the movie to come out looks negligible now.
