Keanu Reeves is also known for starring in one of the popular memes on the Internet: Sad Keanu. Keanu Reeves has teamed up with Ron Garnet and has recreated the meme for the upcoming comic.
As Keanu Reeves is recreating ” Sad Meme”, ‘Sad Keanu’ meme has originated from a picture of the actor from 2010. Reeves is sitting on a park bench. He was looking sad while enjoying the sandwich. The meme was photoshopped to oblivion. But despite many, the best version of the meme is still the original one of Reeves sitting on the bench. Reeves has a good sense of humour about the photo. He is recreating the image for his own comic book “BRZRKR”.
His new comic, he is putting together with Matt Kindr, Bill Crabtree, Clem Robins and Rin Garnet. He has launched its Kickstarter today with Boom! Studio publishing the book.
The Comic Is Composed By Reeves
The comic is composed by Reeves and stars an eternal warrior (who bears a striking resemblance to the actor) who seeks revenge. The major character, named Berzerker, labours for the U.S. government, taking on jobs considered too brutal for regular workers to take on. The comic wears its enthusiasm on its sleeve, as the Kickstarter even references the book is excellent for fans of Wolverine and John Wick. It seems Keanu is willing to meme it up.
Venom writer Donny Cates disclosed on Twitter that when he joined with Reeves about the project, the actor cited he thought it would be crazy if the ‘Sad Keanu’ meme somehow made its way into the comic. Cates said he was very pleased to see the notion made it into the art.
It seems that the “Sad Keanu” in BRZRKR paints a serious picture.
An eternal berserker sitting somberly in the rain while he contemplates his life versus Keanu just sitting and celebrating a sandwich paints two distinct pictures. Still, it’s incredible to see Keanu Reeves shoved to include the meme in the project.
