When WandaVision was initially declared in 2019, Marvel provided the show a spring 2021 release date. However, they disclosed at the start of 2020 that WandaVision had been lifted to come this year instead. Marvel fans got the first look of the series a few months later when footage for it and other MCU Disney+ shows were broadcasted during the Super Bowl.

Marvel Studios and Disney have disclosed the first official trailer for WandaVision. It has a run time of one minute and twenty seconds, the official trailer of WandaVision is closer to length to a teaser than a full trailer. But, the official trailer of WandaVision still offers plenty of sensational teases at what is to come. Marvel also broadcasted the first official poster.

For starters, the explanations of it being half sitcom, half MCU epic look to be valid, as parts of the trailer exhibit how WandaVision will duplicate sitcom TV shows, while additional footage teases the bigger story. Vision’s demise in Avengers: Infinity War will be a crucial part of the show clearly, as Wanda doesn’t seem interested in thinking about real life, and Vision isn’t familiar with his death. The official trailer of WandaVision also gives the first look at Kathryn Hahn’s Agnes and grown-up Monica Rambeau.

In addition to the content of the official trailer of WandaVision, the timing is also promising for MCU fans.

There were already contemporary signs that WandaVision was still on the path to be released this year. Marvel Studios generally likes to begin promoting their films six months or so before they’re released, but Disney+ regulates differently. With the marketing purpose, we can only say that it is “coming soon”.
