Xbox Gains Support For xCloud Despite Changed Guidelines For Apple

Despite the recent guidelines that have changed for Apple, Phil Spencer, Xbox head is committed to gaining the support for xCloud. This is how Xbox gains support for xCloud.

Phil Spencer has taken the stance on CNBC’s Squawk Alley. The boss of Microsoft has spoken on the Company buying Bethesda Gaming Studios’ parent company that is ZeniMax Media. This has led to him discussing the iOS issue. Spencer told CNBC, “When you get large scale general computer platforms like mobile phones, people should have access to the great content and services that are out there, and we remain committed to that”. He said so that Xbox gains support for xCloud.

“There are over 3 billion people who play video games today, many of them play on phones, and we’re committed to bringing Game Pass to all phones out there, including Apple Phones,” the Xbox head added so Xbox gains support for xCloud. “We’ll continue the conversations and I’m sure we’ll get to some resolution.” 

Xbox Gains Support For xCloud Amid The Problem Of Cloud Gaming

Phil Spencer has spoken on the real and actual issues between the iOS supported devices and the xCloud. He even has clarified that is not at all related to money or finances. “Our biggest issue is that cloud game streaming apps are actually not allowed in the way Game Pass is built for other platforms. For us, this is about gamers having great access to the content from the creators they love on the devices they own.”

Apple, as of now, does not allow cloud gaming services to be regulated on the app store in the traditional way, with new games put in at the discretion of the user.

This would definitely give the ability to add games to service to the gaming companies without going through the usual approval process of Apple. However, Apple allows cloud games to be downloaded as individual apps. Microsoft has dismissed the solution. They said they want games based in one single location. So that Xbox gains support for xCloud.
