Netflix’s sci-fi drama ‘V Wars’ will not see a second season. However, Ian Somerhalder isn’t ready to say goodbye to Dr. Swann, despite getting a cancellation.

Fans have been waiting to see Dr. Luthar Swann again on the screens. But it seems like Netflix has some other plans. Yes, you read it right! Actor Ian Somerhalder who is popular for portraying the character of Damon Salvatore in The Vampire Diaries made his debut in 2019 on Netflix with the sci-fi drama named ‘V Wars’. The web series is based on the comics and novels created by Jonathan Maberry. However, the show will not see a second season. Know the reason here!

The V in the title stands for vampires and it is a charming blend of vampire dramas and science fiction thrillers. The series starred Ian Somerhalder as Dr. Luthar Swann and Adrian Holmes as Michael Fayne. Dr. Luther Swann is a genius scientist, living a happy life with his wife and kid. Unfortunately, his best friend Michael Fayne is exposed to a deadly virus that turns him into a vampire. His wife also gets infected and almost kills his son Dez. However, Luthar saves Dez in time and kills her off. For that Luthar is taken in for questioning. Later, Michael turns into a leader of infected humans.

Despite getting a cancellation, actor Ian Somerhalder isn’t ready to say goodbye to the character of Luthar Swann. After the cancellation announcement, Ian took to his Instagram handle to explain to his fans that the show is not over yet. He said, “I just wanna thank you for all the incredible messages I’ve been getting, incredible amounts of incredible messages, asking me if this is the end of the road for Dr. Swann and V Wars.” Further, he said “No, not it’s not the end of the road for Dr. Swann or V Wars. There are a lot of great stories to tell and I’m going to tell them”

Well, it’s pretty clear now that Ian isn’t ready to give up and will make way to bring back the series. Do you want Netflix to revive the V Wars?
