In the Amalgam Universe, DC’ Doctor Fate Combined With Marvel’s Doctor Strange To Become Doctor Strange Fate.
In the stories of both Marvel Comics and DC comics, some heroes are more powerful than their most-magical sorcerers, Doctor Strange and Doctor Fate, respectively. Both Doctors are known for their insane magical abilities and powers. However, one sorcerer is more powerful than their combined version of Doctor Strong Fate.
Marvel has Doctor Strange as it’s Sorcerer Supreme. The Master of Mystic Arts resides in the Sanctum Santorum and uses powerful artifacts like his Cloak of Levitation and Eye of Agamotto to help Avengers saving the world. Meanwhile, Doctore Fate is DC’s one of the most powerful superheroes. The Lord of Order Nabu created the helmet of fate and granted that whoever wears that helmet will be the owner If some insane power. Both the Doctors are insanely powerful in their respective universes but in the Amalgam Universe, they both were forced to combine to create Doctor Strange Fate.
What Made Doctor Strange And Doctor Fate Create Doctor Strange Fate?
Doctor Strange was created as a part of Amalgam Universe, which combined both the universes of Marvel and DC. This Universe gave many Combined heroes including Darkclaw combination of Batman and Wolverine, Spidyboy combination of Spiderman and Superboy, a combination of Doctor Strange and Doctor Fate Doctor Strange Fate. In the Amalgam Universe Doctor Strange Fate is the only character that released that the universe wasn’t as it was supposed to be. Donning Doctor Strange’s cloak and Doctor Fate’s helmet, Doctor Strange Fate is described as the most powerful being in the Amalgam Universe.
In Ron Marz, José Luis García-López, Kevin Nowlan, Matt Hollingsworth, and Chris Eliopoulos’s Doctor Strange Fate #1, the sorcerer releases the fact that if Access gets two special keys and divides DC and Marvel Universe, the Amalgam universe will be destroyed. He sends out a crew of combined characters including Skulk (Hulk and Solomon Grundy) as well as White Witch (Zatanna and Scarlet Witch) to retrieve him. After realizing that now he can not save his universe he accepts his defeats and takes off his mask to reveal he’s Charles Xavier.
Ultimately, Doctor Strange Fate was a cool concept that was fabulously executed by Garcia-Lopez and Nowlan. He was extraordinarily powerful and looked awesome. The Xavier reveal is more shock value than relevant, but it’s fun to see the comic world’s two best sorcerers combine for arguably Amalgam’s best character.
