Xbox Series X Controller Is Causing Difficulties For Adult Users

Twinfinite’s Chris Jecks reveals how the Xbox Series X controller is causing hand strain due to its smaller size.

The Xbox Series X controller is the same as its predecessor, the Xbox One Controller with some minor addition to make it match the standards of Microsoft’s new generations consoles. Plus, the series X controller is also delivering console in 3 colors, It has all the quality that gamers ever wanted in a console but it’s smaller size is causing some trouble for adult users.

A console controller has the same importance as a console has itself. Sony’s case, the dual shock controller retires with PlayStation 4 console as the new dual shock consmakesmake its debut with a sleek white design much like the brand new look of the PlayStation 5.

Plus, the DualSense comes with motion controls, adaptive triggers, and vibration. All these new changes in the console manage to make give it a bigger size than the series X console and Series X console. Some users thought that a bigger size can cause discomfort but in reality, a smaller sized console is the one that is causing real trouble.

In the Xbox series X controller’s review, Twinfinite’s Chris Jecks wrote that it’s a small step but mostly a nice step away from the series X controller. But Jeck picked out that Series X is comparatively smaller than it’s predecessor and Xbox Elite Controller. “It’s far more noticeable than I ever thought it would be, and not in a good way,” Jecks said.

Xbox Series X Controller To Have Comfortable Size

In particular, Jecks experienced some hand strain after about an hour or so of playing games like Rocket League, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and Forza Horizon 4 with the new controller.  Jecks did not notice the same pain when using the DualSense controller.

The Xbox one controller was known for its comfortable size than the need to make changes in the size. While an interview the Senior Designer Ryan Whitaker said that Xbox wanted to accommodate gamers with smaller hands to improve accessibility for all.

The designers of the controller said that the console was built to fit in the hands of an eight-year-old kid. The designers did so by rounding and reducing the outer components of the controller. Beyond that, the Series X controller introduced a share button on the front to make it easier to share gameplay clips and screenshots.

For every gamer, it’s frustrating to have this kind of discomfort while long gaming hours. Plus, in the end, there’s no way to cater to all sizes of hands. For now, anyone struggling to enjoy the Xbox Series X controller may be better off trying out the Razer Wolverine V2, the most comfortable Xbox controller on the market.
