Fans around the world get hyped as CW’s The Flash season 7 is in its final steps before its release. Ahead of the show’s new season, a new official poster has been released. Find out the details here!
The Flash, played by Grant Gustin, was obviously, at the center of the poster. The other key cast members since season 1 like Iris West Allen, played by Candice Patton, Cisco Ramon, Player by Carlos Valdes, Caitlin Snow a.k.a. Killer Frost, played by Danielle Panabaker, and Joe West played by Jesse L. Martin were also included in the poster.
Apart from them, the returning cast includes Harrison “Nash” Wells played by Tom Cavanagh, Cecile Horton played by Danielle Nicolet, Allegra Garcia played by Kalya Compton, Kamilla Hwang played by Victoria Park and of course the big bad of season 6 Eva McCulloch or commonly known as “Mirror mistress” played by Efrat Dor. Also joining the cast as a series regular is Brandon Mcknight, who would be reprising his role as Chester P. Runk, and Jon Cor who is rumored to be the next Villain “Chillblaine”. Unfortunately, the beloved star Hartley Sawyer won’t be returning as Ralph Dibny or as known by his fans as the Elongated Man.
Everything we know so far about The Flash season 7
“Love will conquer darkness, Season 7 premieres Tuesday, March 2.” the official tweet from The Flash’s Twitter account reads. With 17 days to go, the countdown for Flash season 7 has officially begun. The Flash season 7 is going to pose a massive challenge to Barry Allen and Team Flash which will keep them fresh deep into its tenure.
The show would have returned earlier but production on the series was shut down back in March of 2020 when the pandemic started and our lives were destroyed! As a result, some of the episodes from season 6 were put on hold and announced to be released as a part of The Flash season 7.
The Killing Hype
The last season of The Flash left the fans with some major cliffhangers. How will Barry get his speed back? Will the final showdown between The Flash and Mirror Mistress take place before the flash’s powers are restored? Will the returning Caitlin Snow a.k.a. Killer Frost be enough to turn the tide? Is Iris too far gone to bring back? Too many questions remain unanswered fueling the burning fire of hype for The Flash season 7. But if the fans are paying careful attention to the teasers, they may find plenty of clues about what’s coming.
The Partial Goodbyes
While the fans would have to say goodbye to Hartley Sawyer, however, they would still see plenty of Ralph Dibny on screen. The Showrunner Eric Wallance explained heading into season’s production how the series will go on without having Hartley Sawyer on the series, with the actor fired after a number of controversial tweets from Sawyer’s past resurfaced that contained misogynist, homophobic and racist language.
Wallance admits that the character will be taking “a bit of a rest for a while,” but viewers should not assume that he’s gone for good. While Wallance chalks up the capability to bring him back as “the beauty of comic book stories and superhero stories,” it sounds as if his brilliant abilities will come into play to cast a new actor.
“the beauty of comic book stories and superhero stories are the conventions that heroes come and go, but they never fade away and they never truly disappear. So we’re going to treat it like we would if we were writing a comic book graphic novel. We’re giving the Elongated Man a bit of a rest for a while. But we will leave the door open,”
Wallance revealed. Who knows what the future might hold, one thing is for certain there will be never seen before action awaiting the fans in The Flash Season 7. How this season turns out is yet to be seen but the loyal fans would definitely love the thrill that is yet to come!
