WandaVision Making The Necessary Sacrifices To Save Scarlet Witch

Avengers: Infinity War’s heartbreaking ending must be repeated in WandaVision in order for Scarlet Witch to save not only the world but also herself.

Vision’s death might be inevitable considering the direction in which the show is heading. It was noted in episode 6 of WandaVision that as soon as Vision stepped outside of the Hex’s barrier, he started to disintegrate. Wanda is slowly losing her grip over her sitcom-fantasy and is barely managing to keep it intact. No matter how disastrous it is turning out to be for real and her mental stability, The only thing that is motivating her to do so is her love for Vision. But while love conquers all, it cannot save you from death, the ultimate end.

Wanda’s Dilemma

Kevin Fiege stated that Wanda Maximoff was the person who suffered the most in the MCU. Throughout the course of MCU’s timeline, Wanda has repeatedly witnessed the casualties of the people closest to her. Initially, she lost her parents in Sokovia, then she lost her brother Pietro to Ultron, and ultimately she lost the love to Thanos after killing him herself. She died and came back to life only to find out that Vision’s remains were being treated inhumanely as an experiment by S.W.O.R.D.

WestView is her escape from the horrors of her life and the best part of this escape is being reunited with a somewhat alive version of her Dead boyfriend. However, her actions inside of WestView can easily be mistaken with that of a villain considering all the people she been controlling only to feel like living a normal life among normal people. Exercising her powers for so long and to such an extent seems to be leading her to a mental breakdown.

The Last Resort: The Ultimate Sacrifice

As a last resort to end all this trouble, Vision would have to be put down for once and for all. Though it would be a very heartbreaking end to the series which started out with so much livelihood, it is necessary as it would be a suitable end to a hero’s tale. Unless some miracle happens and Vision comes back to life, he must not be allowed to live because his life with Wanda threatens the freedom and lives of innocent people trapped in Westview. At this point in the story, the only one capable of making Wanda release everyone inside of the hex out of her control is Vision. It is for the sake of not just the people for also for Vision as he seems to be the most victimized of them all.

Either she would make peace with Vision being dead and release everyone in the hex on her own free will, or the situation would become even worse and would be dealt with by the Sorcerer Supreme, Doctor Strange himself in the upcoming MCU movie Doctor Strange In the Multiverse Of Madness. Whatever the outcome is, WandaVision promises to deliver finale fans will likely discuss for years to come.
