Facebook Is Launching A Short Video Rapping App

Facebook is entering the short video business with its own app.

Facebook in association with TechCrunch is making a rapping app called Bars. The app could draw business and downloads after Tiktok was banned in India and some other nations also decided to boycott Chinese apps. Instagram now also under Facebook launched reels and has spun the tables. Reels are more or less like Tiktok and have gotten quite popular over time and are running quite successfully.

Even then Facebook is looking to exploit the short video market with Bars. Bars is going to be mainly for the singing talent out there. Bars app will provide beats for rapping and will have small 60 second videos. Bars are still in Beta testing and is yet to come out. Bars app is going to provide autotune to make the experience more appealing and smoother. Bars app is also going to provide a rhyming dictionary for beginners. The app will be for all who want to sing and rap and present their talent in the perfect way. Bars app unfortunately is only available for iOS.

The app is accepting reservations of usernames and you can sign up from now on if you want. Bars app will notify you when it’s ready. People have been known to use SoundCloud and this short yet professional video rapping app could pull away from the audience from its other competitors.

Facebook’s New Product Experimentation group is behind this project and there are a lot of expectations from the users. The sample video uploaded is quite good and has a professional finish to it. There is a lot of excitement regarding the release. There could be new stars coming to light with this app. To reach more audience they would have to come to the Play store as well. The app looks good and is drawing attention. With time it could be the new gig.
