The Kissing Booth is a teen romantic comedy film that is based on the 2012 novel “The Kissing Booth” by Beth Reekles. There have been 2 movies in the series so far and another one is on the way. The story of the film revolves around the life of a young teenager Elle, played by Joey King, whose friendship with her childhood friend is put in jeopardy when Elle enters into a relationship with Lee’s older brother, Noah. The two friends were very close to each other and practically grew up as brothers and sisters because their mothers were best friends. Noah, Elle’s dream boyfriend is a total womanizer and bad boy who is a desired chap in the whole school.

The Kissing Booth was severely criticized by critics which ended up it received on a 17% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes and an average rating of 3.59, it still became widely popular on the streaming platform Netflix, with a 93% liked rating. Also at the 2019 Kids’ Choice Awards, The Kissing Booth was nominated for Favorite Movie and Joey King won Favorite Actress for her role. The Kissing Booth 2 was more of a plot twist when Elle learns about her boyfriend’s new girlfriend which ultimately adds up to her doubts about choosing a university. The Kissing Booth 3: Everything We Know So Far
On July 27, 2020, Netflix officially announced that The Kissing Booth was in the works, as it said in Netflix’s official tweet, “It’s official! The Kissing Booth 3 is coming in 2021.”Multiple sources, including Deadline, announced in July that the third installment of The Kissing Booth movie franchise has already finished filming. Joel Courtney, who plays the character of Lee Flynn in the movie, revealed that the filming of the second and third movies was going side by side.
He stated “We actually are done filming already. We filmed two and three at the exact same time.” Now, there hasn’t been any official announcement regarding the official release date of The Kissing Booth 3, it is confirmed by Netflix’s Official Tweet that it’s arriving in 2021. Also taking into consideration the fact that the filming of the movies has already been wrapped up, fans can expect a release date as soon as summer 2021.
There are still no trailers released so there is not much we can predict still in the teaser released along with the official announcement, Elle receives a call from the Harvard admissions office which she ignores. This puts us into believing that she still hasn’t made up her mind about choosing a university.
