Among Us, Fan Board Game Brings the Skeld Map To Tabletop

An Among Us fan-made tabletop game is in the works by GK-Games, which would be bringing the classic Skeld map and the mechanics from Among Us to tabletop form. The concept of Among Us in tabletop form is a bit unusual for the type of game it is. Probably this concept has the potential to deliver the same amount of fun that can be endured from the game.

All About the Free Multiplayer Game

Among Us’ is an online multiplayer social deduction game from developer InnerSloth.  It can be played with 4-10 people; either your friends or stranger you meet online. In the game, the participant plays as a crew member in a spaceship, sky headquarters, or planet base, attempting to keep the ship together and return back to Earth. But one crew member has been replaced by a parasitic shape-shifting alien (popularly known as the ‘Imposter’) who wants to eliminate the rest of the crew before the ship reaches home. The twist is that the imposter looks like the crew members the imposter which makes it difficult to guess out just by seeing members. The imposter sabotages the ship, sneaks through vents, deceive fellow players, and tries to frame others, all in an attempt to remain undetected and kill off the rest of the crew.

Game Brought to Tabletop Form

The Skeld map is perhaps the most recognizable and most played map in Among Us. It’s the first map that gets selected in the game for newbies, and its sections and tasks are much easier to remember and execute. Other tasks in maps like Polus can take a bit more time to grasp than the ones in Skeld as they are a bit confusing and big. Even venting could be spotted through the animation of closing and opening of the vents. It’s also easy to understand where impostors can get away with kills. GK-Game has posted their concept of an Among Us tabletop game on their Facebook page. The crewmates are set pieces on the Skeld map, and there are various cards for the game. There are suspect cards, task cards, sabotage cards, and portrait cards. The game is still in operation, so it’s unknown exactly how these cards would be used.
