We don’t know exactly when the Nuke event is going to happen, but there’s some speculation that it could happen when Season 2 Reloaded kicks off. This would mean that the event would be fairly imminent provided Season 2 Reloaded launches when expected, and this would give fans plenty of time to say farewell to Verdansk before a new map reportedly replaces it for Season 3.
But where exactly in Downtown have they moved to?
There’s a lot going on with Cold War and Warzone right now, not only are zombies making their way across Verdansk, but players are eagerly awaiting the mid-season update for both games. Season 2 Reloaded looks to be bringing new guns, maps, and more to Cold War.
Where Are The Zombies In Downtown?
After the March 25 Playlist Update for Call of Duty: Warzone, when you drop into Verdansk, you may notice that Downtown has been crossed out on the map. That’s because Zombies have taken over the Financial District within Downtown, but where exactly is that? Well, you’ll want to head to the Bank located Downtown, on the map, this is between columns F and G and in row 7. You’ll probably assume that the building infested with Zombies is the one that has the red line above it, but it’s actually the building just south of that.
How Do You Activate The Zombies?
The Zombies don’t just spawn on their own, they actually require activating to spawn. Head into the Bank building Downtown, and then head straight down the stairs into the vault, you’ll notice the yellow crate will be on the left of the vault door. Inside the vault on the back wall, you will see a computer, all you need to do is walk up to the computer and select the activate button. Zombies will then begin to appear from every angle, kill all 40 Zombies and the final one will drop a yellow access card. This access card will allow you to open the special chest outside the vault!
When Does Season 2 Reloaded Begin?
There is no official date set for the mid-season update for Cold War, but Treyarch stated on March 24 that it is ‘coming next week’. It looks like the new update is likely to drop with the next playlist update on April 1, 2021.
Reports are that it will no longer be playable after the event, instead of being replaced with a completely new Warzone map. Of course, before the nukes are sent flying it can be assumed that the zombies will be wreaking more havoc across the area until the infection reaches a point of no return.
