Marvel Studio is so confident of the success of the Eternals that they have started to work on a sequel ahead of the result of the movie.
Marvel Studios is one of the biggest and most successful movie franchises in the world and has launched several greatly successful projects over the last decade. With the end of the Infinity Saga, Phase 3 of the MCU ended and everybody has been greatly excited to see what the future holds for the studio. Marvel gave a brief hint about Phase 4 of the MCU through a promotional clip released on May 3rd, which also provided us the first look at the upcoming Eternals movie and it was amazing.
The Eternals, directed by Chloe Zhao and written by Kaz and Ryan Firpo, starring Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Lauren Ridloff, Brian Tyree Henry, Salma Hayek, Lia McHugh, Don Lee, Kit Harington, Gemma Chan, and Barry Keoghan, is set to be released on November 5.
And now, there have been rumors surfacing the internet that Marvel has begun working on the sequel of the Eternals, i.e., Eternals 2 months before the release of the first movie.
All We Know About The Eternals And Eternals 2
So far, there is not much that we know about the Eternals and Marvel has ensured to keep it that way in order to create a massive hype for the movie. We also know that the Eternals would be unlike anything we have seen till now in the MCU because it involves literal God-like beings (apart from the gods of Asgard). The official synopsis for the Eternals states: “Marvel Studios” Eternals features an exciting new team of Super-Heroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, ancient aliens who have been living on Earth in secret for thousands of years. While the Deviants have hidden underground, the Eternals have lived secretly among humans for millennia.”
We also know that the Eternals come from the race of cosmic beings called the Celestials, so they possess all sorts of amazing powers and abilities. They are practically immortal and have protected the Earth against hellish creatures called the Deviants. Because of the powers they possess, Earthlings mistook them as actual Gods and for some reason, they went into hiding for thousands of years after defeating the deviants, and now they are coming back together. The anticipation for the Eternals movie is massive and therefore Marvel’s initiative to work on a sequel (Eternals 2) ahead of its release is perfectly logical.
John Campea, the popular film critic, has revealed that Eternals 2 is already at works in Marvel Studios. He explained that the announcement for Eternals 2 was not included in the phase 4 teaser clip, because the clip only contained news about movies that are scheduled to be released till 2023 and have verified release dates. He also revealed that there are nearly 20 or more projects that are in different stages of development at Marvel Studios.
With over 20+ projects at work, the fans can expect a truckload of Marvel action and fun, awaiting them in the future.
