WandaVision’s Agatha Harkness receives special praise from MCU’s Antman.
Its often said that any superhero story is only as good as its Villain and that is a front that WandaVision nailed. Being Marvel Studio’s first take on the small screen, WandaVision had a lot of hopes and responsibilities set on itself as it indirectly had an influence over the future of MCU’s TV series. Luckily, WandaVision was a smashing success thanks to all the people who contributed to making it happen and one of those people was Kathryn Hann.
Kathryn played the role of Agnes a.k.a. Agatha Harkness on WandaVision and she totally rocked the role, making it one of the most memorable and unique aspects of the show. Hann’s insane portrayal of the plotting evil witch was showered with love and appreciation from fans and gave rise to numerous social media jokes along with a funny theme song, “Agatha All Along”.
Paul Rudd’s Special Praise
We know that the popular monthly magazine “Vanity Fair” is profiling Hann’s career and in regards to that, Paul Rudd was also interviewed. Rudd and Hann have worked with each other a total of six times before joining the MCU, therefore Rudd’s opinion was very significant. In response to that, Paul Rudd revealed that he very much liked the show and didn’t missed a single episode and was deeply impressed with Hann’s performance. “How good she was. I mean, my God, who else could do what she did? She does that crazy witch cackle, and you buy it. You know how hard it is to do a crazy witch cackle?” he said.
WandaVision was a smashing success, receiving a great response from the fans and critics alike and opening up the possibilities for MCU’s future on the small screen. WandaVision owes a big thanks for a portion of that success to Kathryn who made Agatha Harkness’s MCU debut a memorable feat. Hann’s performance surely added to the magic of the show, with her comical puns and sinister intentions. Although Agatha was dealt with on the show, her return is entirely possible in MCU’s upcoming Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness.
We know that the movie will feature Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch alongside the Sorcerer Supreme, but the duo may need help from an experienced Witch who Wanda left behind. The MCU is yet to confirm this theory, but the actress has expressed her keen wishes to play the character once again. Marvel Studios should think about making it happen and giving fans more of Agatha’s action in the upcoming MCU projects.
