The Netflix show- Never Have I Ever, starring Maitreyi Ramakrishnan has become one of the most popular shows for teenagers. Her father died during her show due to a heart attack and she gets paralyzed afterward. A new age girl coping with the daily stress along with not having good relations with her mother is something you would want to watch.

She is a smart and intelligent sophomore but her temper issues come between all her relations. She is close to her only two best friends – Eleanor and Fabiola. Together, the three of them are not good at socializing. Ben, her classmate, does not go easy on her due to the competitiveness among the two of them. But Devi manages to give a reply each time.

HARD TIME WITH HER MOTHER

Her mother, Nalini Vishwakumar, a Dermatologist, gives Devi a hard time. She is the perfect Indian woman who believes in following her religion. On the contrary, Devi has always followed the western culture of America. The differences among their point of view result in mother-daughter clashes.  She has to struggle more when her cousin, Kamala, comes to live with them. Kamala is the perfect daughter one could have asked for which makes Devi’s mother appreciate her more.

IT GIVES SENSE OF POSITIVITY

Devi has only one aim in life- having a good boyfriend. She tries to go after Paxton, the high-school crush of every girl. Things start brewing between them but Devi’s rage may not be in control every time. Her relationship with friends and family is disrupted too for a while but she tries to cope with it.
