Thanos Killed Thanos, the strongest and most powerful cosmic being of the Marvel Universe has done much more than just wiping out 50% of life. He has saved the world from the darkest fear and reality that could have left the world a dark and dead place. For that, he defeated himself from the future.
‘Thanos Wins’
Thanos Wins is an action-filled story written by Geoff Shaw and Donny Cates. The story is full of shocking twists. The characters have been bent and molded immensely. Like Hulk is now Titan’s malnourished beast whereas Silver Surfer is the new Mjolnir-wielding force called the Fallen One. However, Thanos has become the king of everything. Thanos traveled to the end of time and met Death. When his love for Death that he passionately craves for begins to show up, he knew what he had to do next.
Thanos used the Time Stone
In Thanos #18, Thanos came to know about the exact reason he was made travel through time to come at the end. The reason was so that he could be killed by the king Thanos so as to stay with Death. However, the younger Thanos overpowered older Thanos. He smashed his face. He immediately realized why was the older Thanos was doing what he was doing. Then he snatched the Time Stone from the future Thanos. He then used Fallen One’s corpse to go back in time. This way he removes the future Thanos from the existence.
Thanos rewrites the future
As soon as the young Thanos uses the Time Stone to rewrite his own future, King Thanos and his empire are swiped away. So, Thanos eventually won at the end. Because King Thanos was erased from the future for all the good reasons.
For the Supervillain, ‘Thanos Wins’ is a weird story. Thanos’ future self was nothing less than an eye-opener for him. He realized he would never want to become what he had become in the future and therefore erased his whole existence from the future. He saved a future Marvel Universe by wiping off himself from the future.
