Does Joker love Batman, Joker’s detrimental fascination with Batman is known to all. The supervillain’s act has always been in straight conflict with the Caped Crusader. Joker tried to extract important information from the Batgirl as he wanted to control Gotham City. However, he fought back by Barabara Gordon who fights him with words. He tells Joker that he is in love with him.

Joker is the only Supervillain who doesn’t want his rival hero to be killed. He rather depends on the existence of Batman. In the Batman: The Dark Knight, he once said, “don’t want to kill you! What would I do without you? You… you… complete… me.” He feels lost in the absence of Batman. This idea was also explained in a recent story. Therefore, when Joker plays mind games with the Batgirl to extract information from her, Barbara enters the scene.
In Batgirl #47, Joker enters the Barabar Gordon’s apartment and tells her that he is well aware of her true identity. Barbara was devastated and hurt upon hearing this. Joker was the one responsible for her paralysis in The Killing Joke. Even long after that incident happened, she still suffers from PTSD. He impairs Barabar’s spine and sits next to her and tries to get information regarding the Batcave including the code. To enrage Batgirl, Joker calls her ‘pale intimation of Robin‘. However, Batgirl fights back by saying that Joker is ‘desperate for attention’ and that he desires to be ‘Batman’s sidekick’. She made fun of Joker by saying, “you love Batman… you can’t live without him! Who’s pathetic now?”

Batgirl was so hurt by what Joker did to her in the past that she laughed at Joker’s face in the present day. She made fun of him and it gave her peace of mind and happiness. As to see him get angry, sad, and frustrated. She used Joker’s love for Batman against him and it worked in her favor. In the “Joker War”, his mad obsession for Batman was evident and even he couldn’t hide it. And so Batgirl used it to expose him.
