The Guardians of the Galaxy unlike the other superpowered teams like X-Men and Fantastic Four is a dynamic one. The members are entirely from wide off galaxies. Each character has a separate and unique set of abilities. This is what makes the team interactions so wacky.
This inclusion by the MCU has opened the door for many unseen heroes hailing from different galaxies. It has given some powerful moments and hilarious interactions.
In the comics, characters like Peter Parker, Flash, and Tony Stark have gone through the team. The cinema version of the team was to be lined up in such a way so that it could not beat Thanos in the very first instance. Because of this, the interstellar outcast inaugurated the MCU’s cosmic label.
The team got so hit that they ended in Avengers. They are popular for being a non-serious team. But, they are in any way weak. Although they assembled as outlaws they have defeated many major villains.
MANTIS
This bug-like alien (Pom Klementieff) member has the mental ability to make people unconscious and awaken them at any time by making physical contact. With this, she was able to control Thanos in the Avengers: Infinity War and made Ego sleep for decades. The shortcoming is that she has to make physical contact. Her agility and flexibility help us to do so. Not being used to the fighting she naturally fights in the Avengers Endgame.
YONDU
This alien (Michael Rooker) has the most experience and the shortest time in the team. His weapon is the Yaka Arrow. It could cut anything and change its direction anytime by the fin on his head and the whistling. It is the deadliest weapon of Mary Poppins to date. He is the pilot of the ship and an efficient thief.
DRAX
The destroyer has gained the title with the acts he has done. A ruthless murderer is what he came to be known as. Being straight-headed he fails to comprehend the consequences of his actions and its dangers. After all, no one could scoop inside a giant alien and come out laughing.
ROCKET THE RACCOON
Unlike any other raccoon(Bradley Cooper) he has all the agility and flexibility to come flawlessly in any fight. Being with his technicality that he contributed in the most advanced gauntlet. He has an obsession with fights and expertise in guns. He has faced dangerous situations and has come out without any harm.
GROOT
With his (Vin Diesel) wooden body, he can extend any part of his body in a matter of seconds. His weakness is that he is never in the mood of fighting. He is just like a child in an adult’s body. But sometimes it helps him. Like in the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 1 he escapes the prison power cell. Groot sacrifices his life to save Rocket. The Rocket then plants his twig in a pot through which child Groot grows. As a child, he lacks the ability original Groot had. Later on, he grows stronger. He gives his arm for Thor’s Stormbreaker and fights in the Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers Endgame.
NEBULA
As the least favorite character, Nebula has to go through a lot to come out as a deadly fighter that she is. Being the adoptive daughter he grows through a lot when subjected to cybernetic enhancements. With this, she becomes insensible and less gullible to pain. It takes her a life threat to transform ger heart and fight for a good cause. No matter how deadly she is, she is also likely to be dead by the destruction of her cybernetic parts. It would take only one bullet. It is seen in Avengers Endgame how her powerful parts are used by Thanos to overturn the time heist.
STAR LORD
Peter Quill has made the most elaborate name in the galaxy. His unremarkable performance has made him rise only with a pair of blasters, masks, and jet boots. After learning about being half celestial he learned the art of molding matter and energy. He has become one of the most powerful characters in the MCU. He gives up his powers to stop his father from becoming unstoppable. Even without his celestial powers, he is a great fighter, pilot, and a thief.
The Guardians have knitted their place in the MCU. Talking of the strongest would be adult Groot after Thor. As Groot loses himself Star-Lord is the strongest. But Star-Lord loses his celestial powers. Gamora is the next in line but she has already time traveled. Hence Drax can be regarded as the strongest. Future ventures are yet to hold the rest.
