Google has announced Pixel 4A, 5G and 4A 5 G
Google has announced three Pixel phones that are Google Pixel 4A, 5G and 4A 5G.. First in line is the Pixel 4A, $349 available for preorder to be shipped from August 20. Next in line Pixel 5 which will have 5G and Pixel 4A 5G, $499 to be shipped later on.
Pixel 4A 5G and Pixel 5
Google defends its late announcement of the Pixel 4A, 5G and 4A 5G in the light of the pandemic. Pixel 4A has been featured and reviewed. Pixel 5 and Pixel 4A 5G are under the wraps but still, its features can be somewhat featured.
From the image above, the black matte is the Pixel 4A and the one to the left is Pixel 5G as assumed. Pixel 5 is likely to drop sometime later. Brian Rawoski, Google VP of product management said that they would share more about the 5G. Google definitely is habitual of just tweeting. Last summer it was seen when Google posted its own Pixel 4 in June.
Carriers Strategy
The approach this year is different. With a view to scale 5G, more emphasis is on the Pixel 4A 5G, $499. Rumors bring that the high price is not only because of 5G but also it has a larger display and maybe a second camera lens. However, this month only 4A is being set out for delivery by the carriers. The carriers have a significant setback for phones without 5G. The company has had a rather disappointing performance in terms of its phones. Rick Osterloh in charge of the hardware division was himself not happy with Pixel’s 4 battery life.
Launching 5G is a lifesaver with 4A likely to lifted by carriers. All three phones will hit different groups of buyers.
Pixel needs a redemption story
Pixel losing Marc Levoy the man behind its brilliant camera needs more look into the matter. Referring to this fall for launching 5G is no way earlier than December. Even Apple has stalled the launch of the iPhone12 this year.
Pixel 4A
The phone with a reasonable price of $349 is made to sell. Its camera and clean version of Android makes it better than Samsung Galaxy S71, OnePlus Nord, and iPhone SE. Rumors say that it comes in the same size, not a larger one and just one color “black”.
The phone does not cut any feature on the phone and it is exactly what an Android user wants. Though costs were cut at some places. Google has kept the same camera Sony12 megapixel IMX363 as in Pixel 3, 3A, and 4. The sensor is fit for a phone at this price. It is a bit slow in saving the photos but videos are at its best.
Its 5.8-inch display with 1080p view is quite handy and comfortable. The headphone jack and the stereo speakers are a rarity at this price.
The storage of 128Gb and 6Gb RAM is also more than what the phone is priced at. The 128 Gb is higher storage than iPhone SE and is also $100 less. However, the phone is incomparable to the iPhone processor. Pixel 4A has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G. It is fast but its continuity is unknown.
4A Processor lags the iPhone SE one
The face unlock, fingerprint sensor at the back of the phone is a traditional one. Its battery is 3140mAh better than the Pixel 4 one. The phone is to last the entire day.
Google is teaming up with Best Buy, Amazon, and US carriers only Verizon and US Cellar for its distribution. However, the carriers are bent towards the 5G and 4A is just 4G.
The price of $349 and hitting all the baseline levels and promise of a software update in three years has made it a reasonable deal. Google cloud services are not included. YouTube Premium, Google One Storage, and Google Play Pass three month free trial has been given.
