Hulk has learned martial arts from Iron Fist.
The Hulk we talk about is all magical and mystic. It is not rather unknown that Hulk has many times used mystic methods from the Marvel Universe. The Immortal Hulk features elements like resurrection and wendigos.
In the Gerry Duggan version, Hulk learns martial arts from the Iron Fist himself.
The series follows with an intelligent Hulk trying to cure the other six hulks. The indestructible Hulk is shot in the head and is saved by Iron Man’s extremes. With the Iron Man’s virus, he tries to convert Hulk into Doc Green. They both finally understand the gamma particles are a threat to the world and pledge to protect them.
Fight with Red Hulk
Doc Green realizes that he needs to fight smarter and not harder against some of his rebels, especially General Thaddeus Thunderbolt Ross. He functions as Red Hulk and Doc Green has already lost to him, intentionally. To fight him differently he seeks the help of Danny Rand, the Iron Fist to learn K’unLun.
Fist’s one blow hits off Doc Green. Doc is in awe of his moves and requests him to teach him his techniques. He refuses to reach the Iron Fist technique and Doc agrees to learn to harness the chi and coordinate strikes.
Eventually, with the new moves, Doc defeats the Red Hulk. He stops using the virus and returns to become Hulk. Doc has always been worried about the negative role Hulk would undertake as Maestro. Doc’s conversion to Hulk makes him forget all that he has learned.
Will Hulk remember?
The question is whether all that he forgot is still buried somewhere in his mind. The Duggan Hulk has provided the Ewing’s Immortal Hulk a lot of options to explore himself.
However, in the long run, the plot may even vanish or just used as a reference. It would be fascinating to see in the next Ewing’s series whether Hulk remembers the Iron Fost techniques.
