Kristen Wiig was not allowed to click photos of her Cheetah costume while shooting for Wonder Woman 1984. Wonder Woman 1984, the upcoming DCEU movie is the second of the franchise. The sequel will be featuring Gal Gadot and Chris Pine. Also, it will introduce Wiig’s Cheetah and Maxwell Lord. The movie will be moving the timeline of Wonder Woman into the present.
Many parts of the film are destroyed because of the delay in the release date. The transformation of Cheetah by Kristen Wiig is a matter of speculation. She has started the film as a coworker of Diana, but eventually, she has turned into a villain. DC was careful to not release any footage or details about Cheetah but various things and items have been leaked. These leaks have given a certain idea about her transformation. The leaks have suggested the dramatic look of Cheetah that is an adversary of Wonder Woman.
Secrecy was needed
Wiig has come up with the secrecy that was required during her shoot in Wonder Woman 1984. While talking to InStyle, Wigg has revealed that she was not allowed to take photos of herself. She said, “No, we weren’t allowed to take any pictures. This was a lockdown.” She added, “They have it somewhere, and you will see it. But there are different evolutions to my character. I will leave you with that.”
Though the comments of Wigg about her character are not surprising. It is known that secrecy is needed in the superhero. Films. The team cannot afford to leak the costume as it is a big deal. Only certain conventions are allowed to reveal them. In this case, holding the look of Cheetah as a secret was important as DX has made the decision to wait till Wonder Woman 1984 does not release. It makes sense to not reveal many of her photos online.
Wiig mentioned that “different evolutions” of Cheetah are interesting to her as well. She has referred here to the transformation. Official photos of Cheetah have shown Cheetah in two different looks. However, not much will be known before the release of Wonder Woman 1984.
