A new avengers team is here and they are ready to fill up the empty spots left by their predecessors.
The MCU’s stunning success is acknowledgeable and the credit for that success goes to The Avengers. The Avengers carried the weight of the MCU on their shoulder and took it to new heights. The sensational cinematographic adaptation of the amazing comic book Superhero team received an immense amount of love from all around the globe and the Avengers became heroes in real life too. The team fought several villains and defended them Earthagainst many extinction-level threats and endured every single time. Unfortunately, the last enemy they faced turned out to be their last. Thanos was indeed a worthy foe and it took huge sacrifices to finally beat him, and save the universe. Two members of the original Avengers team heroically laid down their lives for the greater good and made the biggest contributions in the battle.
Team Avengers lost Iron Man and Black Widow to the fight against Thanos and were left short-staffed. Captain America too, took retirement from hero work in order to live the life he always wanted. While the status of other Avengers remains unknown, the arrival of the new threats is a certainty, but as evil takes new form and rises, so does the brave souls that fight them and start to be known as “Heroes”.
Earth’s New Mightiest Heroes- New Avengers Team
Avengers: Endgame was one of the biggest crossover events in history. That being said, while it brought a blast of entertainment, it also left the future of numerous heroes hanging. The conversation between Nick Fury and Peter Parker was not only funny but also informative. It revealed that Thor and Captain Marvel are off-world, saving other worlds in the universe. Doctor Strange is also busy with other stuff and the whereabouts and status of other heroes are being revealed through upcoming MCU’s Disney+ shows. WandaVision and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier already revealed the condition of the four heroes and upcoming series like Hawkeye, Loki, and She-Hulk will continue this trend.
The series premiere of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier was titled “New World Order”, hinting at the dawn of a new age. Surely, this new age will bring about the rise of new heroes and new villains. Even Sam’s comment about the world needing “new heroes…ones suitable for the times we’re in” is a subtle hint that the fans are about to witness the birth of a brand- new team of Avengers who would unite to face off against rising threats.
Although hoping to see this new team in Phase four would be too early and a gamble considering the fans’ reaction towards heroes without knowing about the origins. It is a sound strategy to first establish the origin stories of these new heroes and then move on to team them up. Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, Black Panther, Spiderman, Winter Soldier are prime candidates for the new team, along with uprising heroes like Shang- Chi, She-Hulk, Blade, and even Moon Knight. What’s more intriguing is the thought of the new big bad that would become the reason for bringing these heroes together. Let’s wait patiently until we can all hear and enjoy the words “AVENGERS…. ASSEMBLE!” again.
