System updates play a very important role when it comes to upgrading the security and overall health of your computer/Mac. But you might often hold a back while attempting to install a new update. As you want to be doubly sure that it won’t create any problems. Moreover, nobody wants to update their system when in the middle of something.
Remember when you get the notification about your macOS is up to date. It means that all the apps that were original there are also now updated. These apps include Safari, Messages, Photos, Facetime, etc. However, the apps that you downloaded separately from the AppStore will need to be updated separately. These separate apps include Whatsapp, Facebook, Instagram, etc.
But if you want every app to be updated automatically then you need to select “Automatically keep my Mac up to date”. And you are good to go! Also, don’t forget to follow the above simple process to easily update your macOS.
Fortunately, there are a plethora of options when it comes to updating your Mac. Like you can choose for yourself when you want to install updates. You can even make sure your device updates according to your plans and schedule and not anytime. You need not worry about any updates; Mac will look after it.
To manage all updates on your Mac:
▪️Click = Apple icon (at the top-left corner)
▪️Click = “About This Mac.” This will show the macOS version you’re on.
▪️Next, select = “Software Update”. You will see any available updates.
▪️”Check” the box next to “Automatically keep my Mac up-to-date.” This will help you to make sure your device is updated automatically.
▪️In case you don’t want your device to be updated automatically. Then, uncheck the box that you just checked. Click on sure when a pop-up asking emerges. Now, select “Turn Off Automatic Updates” and enter the password.
▪️For more options, you can select “Advanced…” in the Software Update window.
