You will see all grown up teens of “Riverdale” in season five of the show. The show’s creator told TVLine that the CW drama will time leap early in the upcoming season.
Roberto Aguirre Sacasa told the publication, “We’ve been talking and planning on doing a time jump,” adding, “and of course, usually time jumps happen in-between seasons because there’s a tease at the very end.”

“Riverdale” show’s fourth season was forcibly ended early due to the Covid-19 pandemic, therefore the storyline that was designed for then will now be provided as the first few episodes of the new season.

Talking more about the show, Aguirre-Sacasa said, “So what we’re doing is picking up right where we left off for the first three episodes, and then doing a time jump … after those three episodes,”
It’s expected that the series will skip the college years and will present the cast as young adults.
A representative for Warner Bros. told CNN, “We have been made aware that a team member from ‘Riverdale,’ which is produced in Vancouver, was recently in contact with a person who has tested positive for Covid-19”. “The team member is currently receiving a medical evaluation.”
