After Cassie, Kaley Cuoco Will Play Legend Doris

The Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco will represent the legend Doris Day in a forthcoming series by Warner Bros. Television. Well, the series’ title is obsolete and is based on Day’s official biography ‘Doris Day: Her Own Story. The official biography was jotted down by AE Hotchner and published in 1976. Kaley Cuoco may not be returning to the Golden Globe-nominated series The Flight Attendant for a while but she’s already organized for the upcoming series on Doris Day which would be focusing on the iconic lifestyle, lifetime achievement, and career of Doris. She’ll be casting as a delightful protagonist. Also, she’d be producing the project with Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and David Madden through Norman Production.

Doris Day’s Esteem

Doris was one of the biggest female stars of 1950-the 60s and equally, she had an awe-inspiring music career. Born as Mary Ann Von Kappelhoff, on April 3, 1922, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Day began her career as a singer at the age of 15 and brought off success in her 20s with the song “Sentimental Journey”, in collaboration with Les Brown’s band.

But she got her impression print from the song “Que Sera Sera” from Alfred Hitchcock’s 1956 film “The Man Who Knew Too Much”. She also came into view in movies such as “Calamity Jane”, “The Thrill of It All”, “Love Me or Leave Me”, and “Pillow Talk”. Doris got married four times and her third husband left her in almost debt when she rescued her career from a Television show. Skillful Doris passed away at the age of 97 in 2019.

Unsettled Casting Details

With the project still in progress, the casting of the series is unpredictable right now. But yes, Cuoco’s Yes, Norman Productions will be collaborating with Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros Television, which also produced The Flight Attendant. It’s also unclear about which part of Day’s life would be shown up in the series.

However, the actress will recast her role as the problematic Cassie Bowden for a second season. During a conversation with Collider, Cuoco talked about how Cassie’s relationship with alcohol will continue to drive the narrative, followed by her decision to quit drinking at the end of Season 1.
