Amazon is all ready to make a tweak with Alexa. Amazon is ready to slightly change the Alexa companion app on Android and iOS. One will not be needing that blue button. Just in a few days, that blue Alexa button on the screen while using a voice command will be of no use. You will no longer need to tap the blue Alexa button, according to TechCrunch. But the “hands-free” mode only works for the apps. The new feature works only if you have launched the app and it needs to be open on your phone. It does not seem useful for many as it first requires unlocking and then launching the app.
If one wishes to have a phone that really allows the use of Alexa on the iPhone’s voice assistant, then Amazon sells a lot of co-branded phones. There are many co-branded “Alexa-Built In” smartphones. Amazon partners with Android manufacturers like Motorola, Sony, and OnePlus. It makes you wake with just your own voice.
The Feature Might Work In Apple iPhones Too
If one wants to use the iPhone then the need is to trick Siri to launch the Alexa app, “Hey Siri, open the Alexa app”. Unlock the phone and use it without really getting into your phone. You just have to glance at your phone. But this will work if you have Face ID activated on your phone. Well, this is the only option for the ones who own an Apple iPhone.
Hands- Free voice command feature gives convenience to users who multitask. It makes it easy for those who have their hands full. The feature gives mobility and makes it more accessible to use the devices. Alexa is hands-free on Windows computers, since last year. Amazon’s Music app has also had a hands- free mode since 2017. It allows you to ask Alexa to play music by using your voice.
