An all-new and unexplained powerset for Janet Van Dyne is set up by Ant Man and The Wasp. The Quantum Realm due to the overarching narrative of Phase 3 of MCU after it was inaugurated in 2015. It was described there as “a reality where all concepts of time and space become irrelevant as you shrink for all eternity,” by Hank Pym.
Years ago, Hank lost his beloved wife Janet Van Dyne. He thought it was impossible to save her. And he was proved wrong when Scott Lang managed to escape. This setup Ant Man and The Wasp. In Ant Man and The Wasp, Hank invented a Quantum Pod to enter and exit the Quantum Realm. This was an enormous achievement, indicating Hank Pym is the tremendous genius of the MCU; Marvel has circulated an in-universe reference book named The Wakanda Files, in which Shuri conveys astonishment at Pym’s designs. To Hank’s thrill, he was prosperous and bailed Janet.
Plot For Janet Van Dyne Was Altered in Ant Man And The Wasp
But Janet Van Dyne was subtly altered in Ant Man and The Wasp, and according to an authorized Marvel book, The Wakanda Files, it’s a durable change. The story comprises a handwritten statement from Janet communicating her new powers.
“I have quite a bit to catch up on. The world is a changed place. Then again, so am I. Part of it is an adaptation, part of it is evolution. I’m suddenly capable of the previously incapable. I’m stricken with a form of Quantum Entanglement as if every molecule in my body continues to be in multiple places at once. I believe that’s how I was able to feel [Ghost’s] pain. I’m not entirely sure how, but I was able to phase her completely back into our reality. Perhaps there are healing qualities to the particles in the Quantum Realm? It feels like I was in there for a lifetime, but I’m left with several lifetimes worth of questions.”
Time doesn’t govern generally in the Quantum Realm, so it’s certainly difficult to rate just how long Janet was there in terms of her ordeal. What’s more, it’s feasible to even the shortest quantity of disclosure to the Quantum Realm has the probable to consent these capacities; Scott Lang was able to blow up of the Quantum Realm because he smelled his daughter Cassie calling out to him, and that wails similar to the Quantum Entanglement interpreted by Janet. But Janet’s capacities lingered even when she had left the Quantum Realm, and she certainly maintained other strengths as well.
The most interesting comment, however, is that Janet Van Dyne realizes as though “every molecule in [her] body continues to be in multiple places at once.” This might indicate that, like Ghost, she isn’t very in phase with this extent at all, that her molecules are phasing between this existence and other truths. If so, Janet Van Dyne could be a key performer in Ant Man and The Wasp, with the MCU’s Phase 4 and 5, which seems to be assembling on the concept of the Multiverse.
