Well, it’s finally coming, the end is near! The end of Attack of Titans is officially happening, but it’s not over just yet. Season 4 of Attack On Titan was announced to be the final season of the series. Fans were extremely worried that the 16 episode season would conclude the mind-blowing series. If that were the case then the series would have ended on Sunday this week. Luckily, just after episode 16 aired MAPPA studio announced that the Final Season would continue and would return with a part 2. The announcement was made with a teaser clip of the next episode. Of course, the clip was extremely short, but they do want to avoid any spoilers and keep up to the hype right. Attack On Titan Season 4 Part 2 is expected to come out in winter 2022 i.e. around March 2022.
Note that Attack on Titan manga chapter 139(the last chapter) is set to release on April 9th, 2021. Let’s discuss the development on the show so far as well as what we can expect in Part 2 of Attack on Titan season 4.
The Road So Far
Season 4 of Attack On Titan has been one heck of a ride on the rollercoaster. We knew from the climax of Season 3 that Eldiaand Marley would face off in a war but the way the season unfolded hit us like a truck. Everyone believed that it would be Marley who would launch an all-out invasion on Paradis but after seeing that it was our beloved hero Eren who ultimately marked the start of the war was quite a bit of a shock. Speaking of shocks, frankly speaking instead of calling it Attack On Titan Season 4, they should have named it Attack On Titan: Shocking All because no a single episode went by without shocking the audience.
Watching a much cooler Jaw Titan, Titans Bombardment scene, learning about Marley’s Warrior concept, watching the Warhammer titan for the first titan, Watching Armin’s first Colossal titan transformation, the upgraded Scouts with their new ODM gear, and tons lots of stuff that blew our minds to bits. Of course, the season had its fill of emotional scenes like Sasha’s death, Zeke’s backstory, Eren turning on the scouts, the fight between Armin and Eren, Eren confessing his Hatred for Mikasa, and Levi being depressed on losing all of his comrades again. The fans were just as bad as fictional characters undergoing all that trauma. No one ever imagined that the titan vs titan battle that they had been waiting for would see our hero turning into an amazing antagonist. One thing that everyone enjoyed was the absolutely mind-blowing animation that MAPPA delivered. The magnificent animation made the experience of watching the show infinitely better.
What To Expect In Attack On Titan Season 4 Part 2
Eren and Zeke plan (the Euthanasian plan) to free humanity from the curse of the Titans by making all Eldians infertile so that they cannot produce offsprings. With no next generation to carry on their blood, all subjects of Ymir would be extinct within a century, and thus with no subjects of Ymir, humanity won’t have to live in the fear of titans and Eldians won’t have to feel hated and discriminated against by every one. As of now, Eren has the power of three titans, the Attack Titan, the Founding Titan, and the Warhammer titan so we will get to see his brand new transformation in Part 2 on Attack on Titan season 4 (already seen in the manga). Also will see Armin and Reiner team up against Eren (also in the manga). Breaking down the new trailer, we can expect to see the origin of Ymir Fritz, the original founding titan. The most exciting thing that could happen in part 2 is “The Rumbling”.
Since Eren possesses powers of the founding, he can make the titans in the walls come to life. Maybe the rumbling does happen and Eren uses those titans as his army against the Marleyan army. Now the following thing is just my theory but it may happen in the upcoming part 2. Eren has made it very clear that he is not hesitant to kill and since he has turned on his allies as well, he may be attempting to unite the whole world, Marley and Eldia alike, against a common enemy, while bearing all their hatred on himself. There is just too much that could happen but one thing is for sure, the concluding season would definitely be a masterpiece and would blow our minds to bits.
