“Avatar: The Last Airbender” is coming to Netflix. It is the 1st time that the whole series is coming to Netflix. Avatar’s well-animated series will be reaching the online streaming platform on May 15 in the US. Netflix itself has announced that. “Water. Earth. Fire. Air. All three seasons of ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ are coming to Netflix in the US on May 15th.”
The Avatar show follows the adventures of Aang where the character Avatar masters the elements of Earth, fire, water and air. He stops the fire nation’s war against the world.
The animated show had been aired on Nickelodeon originally from 2005 till July 2008. It will be a Netflix debut for Avatar: The Last Airbender in 15 years since the show got telecasted in 2005. A sequel to the 2005 show was made in 2012, “The Legend of Korra.” The plot has been built in such a way that the story takes place 70 years after the original series. The show has been aired for 2 years and ended in 2014.

The streaming service is working on Netflix’s The Dragon Prince that is co-created by the screenwriter of Avatar: The Last Airbender“, Aaron Ehasz and the live-action adaptation of the “Avatar: The Last Airbender”.
Netflix has been investing in animation and content for children so it can compete with other streaming platforms like Disney Plus and Youtube.
Till now, fans of “Avatar: The Last Airbender” had to look for rented episodes or DVD sets. Though the series was available on Amazon Prime but not in the United States.
The live-action version has been ordered back then in 2018 but the creation and the production has to be started in 2020. It is still inevitable to find if the team is ready because of the coronavirus outbreak. As many projects of Netflix are still on hold.
Netflix will be getting a monopoly on “Avatar: The Last Airbender’s” content. It is in the news that not only live-action shoes but there will be a live-action film as well.
