Avengers Age of Ultron (2015), a box-office hit for Marvel Universe. However, it didn’t do as well as The Avengers. It was the second time in the history of Marvels that the Earth’s Mightiest Heroes were seen together on the screen. For the first time, they appeared in The Avengers, about three years back. It featured Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), Vision (Paul Bettany), and Pietro Maximoff (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), who together forced to take Ultron down.
Avengers: Age of Ultron was criticized for some shoehorned subplots. Also, the villains in the movie were not up to the mark, particularly following Loki. Its villains are not very famous and that comes up as a bummer.
S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Hellicarrier came to the Rescue
In Slovakia, Vision Maximoff and Team battled Ultron along with his minions. To safeguard the lives of civilians living in the country, they evacuated the area. Ultron’s leftover Vibranium lifted people up. Avengers couldn’t save everyone as the rescue team was very small. Thereafter, Nick fury (Samuel L. Jackson) entered with S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Hellicarrier and helped in speeding up the evacuation process.
Moreover, fans were thrilled to see some help coming for the Avengers. And so were Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Captain America (Chris Evans). This particular scene was the most admired one from the entire movie as Furi, who wasn’t even there for a major part in the movie came to people’s rescue.
What weakened Captain America: The Winter Soldier?
But somewhere down the line, in the movie weekend the happening of Captain America: The Winter Soldier. This movie saw the downfall of S.H.I.E.L.D. Anthony Russo and Joe disclose the old organization and its founders – Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell), Chester Phillips (Tommy Lee Jones), and Howard Stark (John Slattery).
The return of S.H.I.E.L.D. in the Age of Ultron
So, Black widow, fury, Captain America, and falcon wanted to reveal and expose the dark truth of the organization. They thought it could result in its destruction. Moreover, the fall of S.H.I.E.L.D. was expected by many to be a huge game-changer in the Marvel universe. However, their return in the Age of Ultron falsified all the expectations.
The Avengers: Age of Ultron in phase 2 of the MCU didn’t go well with the other films that shared the same group. The most appropriate placement for Age of Ultron would have been the last installment and therefore making its way to the finale. Instead of Antman to be in the face to’s final film, Age of Ultron should have taken in that place.
