Barry, Wally, Oliver, and Diggle Team Up as The Flash in the Season 9 BTS Image

Bow alumni David Ramsey posts a behind-the-scenes picture of himself and some old buddies from The Flash’s final season.

The upcoming Arrowverse reunion of The Flash is teased in a new behind-the-scenes image from the show’s last season.

David Ramsey, a former Arrow actor, posted a photo from the downtown Vancouver set of The Flash Season 9 on Instagram. Ramsey is portrayed as John Diggle/Spartan in costume. Grant Gustin, the show’s star, and Barry Allen/The Flash, Keiynan Lonsdale, a returning actor and Wally West/the Kid Flash, and Stephen Amell, the show’s star and Oliver Queen/the Green Arrow, round out the cast. Ramsey wrote, “Congratulations to Team Flash for nine fantastic seasons.” “But above all, I want to thank YOU ALL for your unwavering support of this universe. Without you, none of this would be possible! Have fun with the mix you didn’t know you needed!”

The Flash Completes a Full Turn

Following a nearly ten-year run, The Flash, an Arrow spinoff, will premiere its ninth and final season on The CW on Wednesday, February 8. Several former cast members of The Flash are back for the ninth season, including Sendhil Ramamurthy as Ramsey Rosso/Bloodwork and the aforementioned Lonsdale as Wally West.

In terms of characters from the greater Arrowverse, Amell is scheduled to return to his iconic role as Oliver Queen after the character passed away in the final season of Arrow (albeit it is still unclear why the Green Arrow was resurrected). Ramsey, who co-starred with Amell in all eight seasons of the Arrowverse mothership series as John Diggle, will be working with Amell. Nicole Maines, who previously played Nia Nal/Dreamer on Supergirl, will also make a comeback in The Flash Season 9. In addition, Javicia Leslie, a former Batwoman lead, is anticipated to play Red Death, DC’s multiverse-based mashup of Batman and the Flash.

“After defeating the Reverse Flash once and for all, the ninth season of The Flash picks up one week later following their epic battle, and Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and Iris West-Allen (Candice Patton) are reconnecting and growing closer than ever before,” an official synopsis for The Flash‘s final lap reads. “But when a deadly group of Rogues descends on Central City led by a powerful new threat, The Flash and his team… must once again defy impossible odds to save the day. A deadly new adversary rises to challenge Barry Allen’s heroic legacy. And in their greatest battle yet, Barry and Team Flash will be pushed to their limits, in order to save Central City one last time.” The Flash Season 9 premieres Feb. 8 on The CW. Source: Instagram
