Marvel Studios’ Blade Reboot is searching for screenwriters after it was announced one year back.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Blade is one of the numerous forthcoming movies glancing to boost Black manifestation not only in front of the camera but in the back of it as well (another being MGM’s Sammy Davis Jr. biopic, produced by Lena Waithe). Presently, the Mahershala Ali-starred Marvel movie, Blade is scanning for screenwriters, though no particular names are spoken of as of yet.
At Comic-Con International in San Diego in July 2019, it was declared that two-time Oscar champion and Marvel’s Luke Cage alum Mahershala Ali would exhibit as the eponymous character in a Blade reboot solo film that is set within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The casting came after Ali called Marvel Studios immediately asking about a possible MCU role. Marvel Studios‘ head Kevin Feige said, “When Mahershala calls, you answer.” Details on the undertaking have been limited, though stories have indicated that Disney’s forthcoming Moon Knight television series could relate to Blade reboot in some fashion.
No Director, Writer, and Cast Is Finalised For Blade Reboot
The MCU’s take on Blade reboot will not be the first time the vampire hunter graced the silver screen. Wesley Snipes depicted the identity in a trilogy of movies included Blade, Blade II, and Blade: Trinity that were broadcasted theatrically between 1998 and 2004.
As of now, no director, writer, or cast members beyond Ali are presently connected to the new Blade reboot film, nor has a release window been disclosed. However, Feige earlier disclosed that Blade reboot would not be a portion of the MCU’s Phase Four. It means it will be released after years of the fourth phase.
