One point that both series have in common is that everyone who dies on the floor of the cursed home stays there forever. The ghosts shown in Hill House were similar to the ghosts shown in traditional horror tales. They die and sometimes they haunt the residents of Hill House, and other times they simply lurk in the dark corners of the house.
But the Bly Manor has some different rules as the spirit gets trapped there because of the gravitational force of the lady in the lake.
