Not just vocally, but Breaking Bad is voted the best TV show. Yes, Breaking Bad has topped the world of TV shows of the 21st century. According to a survey organized by LADbible on Twitter, people have shown their excitement about the series. They have spoken about the show that has made Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul legendary names.
Breaking Bad has had a great choice of director. Vince Gilligan has made sure he hits the core of the intoxication in the series. The whole concept of the series revolves around intoxication due to drugs. It focuses on American youth that is highly involved with drugs and business related to drugs. Intoxication has been used as a prop in Breaking Bad.
The popularity of the Breaking bad is because of the concept that ties youth together. It is because of the brilliant cast who now have become household names. They are legendary in themselves. Despite introducing many core characters, the depth of the major characters has remained unchanged.
Struggling While Passing Hurdles
The series follows Jesse Pinkman who is a school drop out. He is one of the players in the drug industry. Along with Pinkman, the story follows Walter White, a family man who goes to a different extent in order to make things possible and easier for his family. White is extremely talented but despite so much talent, he is a school teacher. After many years of his life, he is diagnosed with Cancer. White, before dying, wanted to make things easier for his family. He meets Pinkman and deals to make drugs because of being a pro at chemistry. Pinan would sell the drugs as the business is well known to him. Their friendship is the player that is used while passing hurdles of their lives.
During the first semi-final by the same, Game of Thrones surpassed The Office (33.1%) by gaining 47.8% of votes. Black Mirror got 9.9% and The Wire received 9.2% votes.
And a similar story followed for the second semi finale. Breaking Bad has recorded 50.2% of votes by defeating Peaky Blinder that has got 32.3% votes. Stranger Things managed to get 14.9% while Mad Men stays at 2.6% of votes.
This has turned out to be a divisive topic. So obviously there are a lot of people who are not ready to accept the defeat.
One of the fans used the platform and wrote, “The UK Office is sensational in its own right. Every character is relatable and Brent is as fantastic as he is cringeworthy. Can’t comment on the US version and it probably is great. But normally when the US takes something, it loses it’s original appeal.”
Another fan of The Wire wrote, “How did Game of Thrones beat The Wire?”
Breaking Bad Focusing on Self-Realization
But the result is maybe because of portraying the immense struggle of daily lives that is relatable to the common man.
It is all about suspense. But suspense has not made it’s quality poor. It is not dragged unnecessarily unlike the Walking Dead. Walking Dead was one of the most popular series but it has been stretched to a greater extent than it had lost its popularity.
Also, Breaking Bad was not, out of sudden, stopped from airing like Game of Thrones. The show has ended after following a proper sequence.
Vince Gilligan has portrayed the struggle of a common man. The series shows not only the family relationships and problems along with solutions, but it also shows the self-realization of a drug addict. Breaking Bad depicts the self-realization of Pinkman in the best possible way.
