Brie Larson has shared that she had auditioned for Iron Man 2 and Thor.
It has been more than a year since Brie Larson had debuted as Captain Marvel in Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck’s 2019 movie. If things would have panned differently, she might have already in phase 1.
Marvel has announced officially that Larson would be MCU’s Carol Danvers at San Diego Comic-Con in 2017. Rumors were persistent about her joining the franchise. People were excited as she was fairly fresh as she won Best Actress at the 88th Academy Awards for Room. Captain Marvel became a billion-dollar earner for Phase 4. Larson was reminiscing about her career and revealed the parts that she had auditioned for but she got the parts.
The actress hosts a series on her official YouTube channel. She reveals all the projects that she had auditioned for over the years. In her latest video, she has listed fee opportunities that she didn’t get. This includes Iron Man 2 (2010) and Thor that was released the year after Iron Man 2. However, she has not revealed the specific role that she auditioned for.
Not Many Female Roles In Iron Man 2 Or Thor
Brie Larson has not given much information about the character, but we know there are only a few female characters in these movies. For Iron Man 2, it is Black Widow that went to Scarlett Johansson. She might be deemed young for the role.
However, everything has turned out for the best after Brie Larson entered the MCU. She has also revealed that Marvel Studios has sought her a few times before she agreed to do this.
The dignity she emits now is important in effectively giving rise to a character like Captain Marvel to life. In hindsight, it was good that she wasn’t cast for either Iron Man 2 or Thor. Moving forward, the actress is scheduled to reprise her courageous role in Captain Marvel 2 and in prospective Avengers movies.
