Dismantling the Universal Weapon, Captain Marvel did something cool but at the same time, it could be a big mistake as she dismantled the Universal Weapon. In Marvel’s Empyre, the Skrull and the Kree empires united along with Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. They together fought against the plant-based Cotati forces. Carol is just a Supreme Accuser in a high-ranking position. Whereas, Kree is gifted the Universal Weapon (the cosmic hammer). This hammer once belonged to Kree Ronan. The Supreme Accuser now provides served at King Dorrek VIII’s pleasure. She doesn’t trust her new weapon’s power and therefore she did something very rigorous.
The Universal Weapon made her reach her Half-sister, about whom she had no clue. However, Carol still has no trust in its powers. She sometimes feels as if something is not right with the weapon but she can’t exactly know what it is. Since her first few experiences of using the weapon during the mission. She decided to see Dr. Strange. After Dr. Strange hears her plans, he unwillingly agreed to her request. He then uses his magic and divides the Universal Weapon into four different parts. Carol kept one part of the Universal Weapon with her while shares the other three with Spider-Woman, Hazmat, and War Machine. All of them together were ready to share the power as well as the burden of the Universal Weapon, creating the Carol Corps.

It’s also quite cool to see Carol creating the Accuser team that would help and support her. However, it again goes the other way. In Captain Marvel #20, by Kelly Thompson, Carol’s half-sister (Lauri-Ell) confirmed the news. According to her, Kree will not be happy with her actions.
Moreover, the risk that Carol had undertaken to break the Universal Weapon was quite a news for her team. Also, they were a little concerned about the worried about the news. But what happened has happened. They still stand firm by Carol. When Carol disclosed her acts to Emperor Dorrek, he was in great shock. As he had never imagined Carol doing any such thing.
Universal Weapon didn’t lose its powers even after breaking down into four parts
As the end of the issue approaches, Carol along with Corps found and accused the real perpetrator who demolished the Kree/Skrull sanctuary city. While the Universal Weapon was divided into 4 parts, it never felt like it was any less powerful. The new team that Captain Marvel had acquired was working well. They were doing well in their missions. And it would happen so until and unless the Kree doesn’t kill them.
