Doom Patrol’s codpiece cannon, Catwoman in her solo series is spending time in South America. There she attempts to steal a highly sought-after drug list from villain Snowflame. While attempting to steal she encounters Snowflame, a mythical Panther, and resistance fighters. Snowflame has the most infamous set of powers in the DC universe. He was introduced in New Guardians #2 in 1988 by Cary Bates and Steve Engleheart. He acquires the superpowers by consuming drugs.
After being dead after the first appearance he again made a comeback in Catwoman #23. Later in the 24th issue, he suddenly pulled out his most infamous weapon: Codpiece Cannon.
The weapon originally belongs to Doom Patrol villain Codpiece. He made his first appearance in Doom Patrol #70 (1993) and is created by Scot Eaton and Rachel Pollack. Codpiece was once insulted by one of his classmates regarding his height. Therefore he didn’t have anything to speak regarding his powers.
The Doom Patrol’s codpiece cannon was capable of many things
Doom Patrol’s codpiece cannon has a wide variety of functions to perform. Besides serving as a cannon it also fires missiles, has retractible boxing gloves, emits cosmic blasts, etc. After acquiring the cannon, he majorly focused on robbing banks. However, he was badly defeated by Doom Patrol who made the cannon useless.
At a later stage, the cannon was again made whole. It ultimately found its way back to Snowflame. Many other precious items like the cannon were also available there at the auction. Selina went there to steal a list from the computer of Snowflame. The list had the names of supervillains, their allies, and their last location. As soon as Catwoman arrived in the Snowflame’s compound. Snowflame wore the wearable weapon and failed to guide the guests at the auction to stay for the rest of the segment.
Snowflame never discharged the codpiece cannon. It therefore disappeared. The reappearance and disappearance in this story somehow show that some ideas are way too weird to be understood or to be forgotten.
