The recently released Captian America: Civil War Concept Art reminds us that the conflict between Iron Man and Bucky has yet to be resolved.
Captain America: Civil War concept art is the highlight of the final battle between Iron Man and Bucky Barnes. It’s has been 4 years since the Russo Brothers Movie made a crack in Avengers. This was the film that was inspired by the Comic Book of the same name and for the drama introduced a personal conflict between Iron Man and Bucky.
The Civil War Concept Art Recalled the Confrontation
The main conflict of the Civil War was Captain America and Iron Man’s Disagreements over the Sokovia Accords – a mandate that would put them under supervision by an international body. Ironically Iron Man was totally in it but Steve was not ready for it and their inability to find the middle ground led to a civil war That said, what really led them their separate ways was the reality that a brainwashed Winter Soldier was behind the death of Tony’s parents—something that Steve intentionally hid from him. It is shown in the Civil War Concept Art as well.
This additional layer gave the Movie one of the best movie climaxes where Iron Man battled Captain America and Bucky together. There was a scene between that where Bucky tries to rip out Iron Man’s Arc reactor from his chest and this became the life of the newly shared concept art for the film shared by Marvel Studios Head of Visual Development Ryan Meinerding.
Bucky knew that Arc is the thing that supplies power to Iron Man suit, but by this point, the armored superhero didn’t need it attached to his chest anymore following the surgery that had the shrapnels removed at the end of Iron Man 3. That said, it is still the powerhouse of Armoured Suit. That said, it was still the main source of the armor’s power. The idea behind Bucky’s move was, if he could rip off the arc reactor from the Iron Man armor, Tony would essentially be powerless and unable to continue fighting him and Steve because unlike them, he’s not physically enhanced. Obviously planned didn’t work.
Civil War Concept Art, While all this Bucky never got the chance to make things up with Tony before his death in Avenger Endgames. Granted that he killed the Starks while under HYDRA’s control, he could’ve at least apologized for his unconscious involvement in the murder of Tony’s parents. Marvel doesn’t have many chances to cause an encounter between Iron Man and Bucky.
