Crisis On Infinite Earths: Ruby Rose’s Batwoman Being Erased Is A Betrayal Of Her Major Role

Arrowverse’s crossover Crisis on Infinite Earths is a betrayal of Ruby Rose’s key role. Know how?

The Arrowverse crossover event is an annual thrilling event that both the fans and the stars look forward to. It is an amazing chance for the stars to work with each other and for the fans to see their favorite superheroes teaming up. There have been 6 major crossover events in the Arrowverse so far. These include “Flash vs Arrow”, “Heroes Join Forces”, “Invasion”, “Crisis On Earth- X”, “ElseWorld” and the mega-crossover event “Crisis On Infinite Earths.” In May 2018, The CW president Mark Pedowitz announced that Batwoman would be introduced in the Arrowverse series 2018 crossover, “Elseworlds” Later in July 2018, it was also announced that CW was planning to develop a solo Batwoman series which would be released later on.

Ruby Rose was cast for this role and hence she made her debut as Batwoman in the crossover when the Trio of heroes, Green Arrow, Supergirl, and The Flash travelled to Gotham City to find John Deegan. Later on October 6, 2019, Batwoman’s own series premiered for the first time. Even though the show didn’t get so popular, the character did play an important role in next year’s crossover event, Crisis On Infinite Earths. Batwoman became the Paragon of Courage and played a vital role in defeating the villain of the crossover, The Anti- Monitor. While Rose parted ways with Batwoman at the end of the first season, but she had her own justified reasons.

Ruby Rose’s Reasons For Leaving Batwoman

In an interview with EW, Ruby Rose opened up about the challenges she faced on the show, and the way she felt about playing the character. Though she didn’t go in detail about her reasons, she mentioned that the pandemic and the on-set accident in 2019 had a major role in her decision making.”Being the lead of a superhero show is tough. [Laughs] Being the lead in anything is tough,” Rose, who didn’t discover the full extent of her injuries until shooting the film The Doorman, tells EW.

“But I think, in that particular instance, it was a lot more difficult because I was still recovering from my surgery. I had my surgery and then 10 days later I went to work, which maybe wasn’t the best idea. Most people take about a month or three off before they return to work, so it was definitely made more difficult by that” she stated.

She also mentions that during the pandemic she had plenty of time to reflect on what she really wanted to achieve and what she wanted to do.

Betrayal of Ruby Rose’s Role as Batwoman in Crisis on Infinite Earths

In a recent 30-minute special called Superman & Lois: A Legacy of Hope, which aired after the series premiere of Superman & Lois, Rose’s Batwoman was edited out of an important clip from “Crisis on Infinite Earths.” Not only did Rose’s Batwoman played a key role in defeating the Anti-Monitor, but she was also one of the founding members of The Justice League in CW.

There no point in removing her from the scene because there are others like Melissa Benoist, who used to Play Supergirl, David Hrewood, who used to play Martian Manhunter, and Cress Williams, who used to play Black Lightning, who is no longer a part of CW but still weren’t removed from the scene. Therefore removing Rose’s Batwoman was totally dishonorable and without cause no matter what excuses are presented for doing so.
