Even after the end of the Skywalker Saga, Star Wars has many questions to answer. One of the questions is how Obi-Wan Kenobi came to know about Anakin Skywalker‘s survival after the battle of Mustafar.
George Lucas had changed the sci-fi genre in 1977. He changed the fact and the industry with Star Wars: A New Hope. This movie had introduced audiences to a completely new universe that had strange planets, political system and spaceships. The movie had invented unforgettable characters.
The original trilogy comprised Star Wars: A New Hope, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. The trilogy was followed by more movies of the same franchise that formed a whole new universe. These films from the trilogy had helped the fans to comprehend the lives of Dadar Vader and Anakin Skywalker. They had left many questions unanswered.
The major concern is how Obi-Wan realized that Anakin is alive?
Kenobi Knows About Anakin’s Existence
Obi-Wan defeated Anakin in Mustafar, thus, he believed that Anakin was dead until he met him in Star Wars: A New Hope. The legends from Star Wars had offered an explanation about the same. Obi-Wan realised that Anakin survived the battle and was a Sith Lord now.
Towards the end of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith (episode 3), Kenobi recognized that Darth Vader was Anakin’s Sith name, but he was not aware of the fact that he was existing. This was discovered in Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader, which is considered as the non-canon part of Star Wars. There is no official confirmation about how Kenobi learned about Anakin’s survival.
The film can not answer the questions because of the end of the saga but it is assumed that such questions could be answered in the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi’s TV series that would be featured on Disney Plus.
