Batman: Legend of the Dark Knight, one of the most iconic series responsible for some of the hero’s most important stories, was announced to return by DC. The Batman focused anthology series has greatly influenced some of the darkest, greatly striking, and most bizarre stories of the character that have continued for more than 80 years. Presently, after being absent for 8 years since its original debut 30 years ago, The Batman is finally coming back once again.
Initially, when it started in 1989, The Batman was initially conceptualized as an anthology series which primarily focused on depicting the unique takes in the Batman mythos from high- profile writers and artists without the stories which needed to be integrated into the main storyline of the DC universe.
The series included a wide range of notable selection of notable stories, varying from Batman: Venom, which depicted a desperate Batman who started using steroids as a means of strength upon failing to save a little girl, to Batman: Shaman, which reintroduced Bruce Wayne’s origin by linking Batman’s persona to the Native American Folkore. The original series continued until 2007 and was later brought back for a short time between 2012 and 2013 before it went dormant once again.
