Deadpool killed Thanos, Marvel’s Deadpool an expert in killing is responsible for the killing of hundreds of people. Even Thanos is powerless when in front of him. Thanos can break the Marvel Universe in half but he failed to stop Deadpool to kill him twice.
Deadpool is a deadly condottiere. His biggest strength is his healing factor which let even death become non-destructive. Deadpool is indestructible and therefore he has faced nearly the most dangerous and famous villains of the Marvel Universe. He has walked past them, defeating them and that too unhurt. Giving a reality check of his powers – He killed Thanos in hilarious ways, not even once but twice.
Deadpool killed Thanos using the Infinity Gauntlet
Deadpool killed Thanos, In Deadpool #45, by Gerry Duggan, Scott Koblish, Val Staples, and Brian Posehn; Deadpool killed Thanos for the very first time. What happens is Thanos hires Deadpool to steal the last Infinity Stone, the Cosmic Cube. He uses his infinity gauntlet and let him wipe out nearly half of the Universe and accomplish his desires. All this he could achieve by snapping his fingers only once.
Before Thanos gets a chance to get the stone from Deadpool. Deadpool reveals that the Infinity Gauntlet that Thanos had worn was not real. He then reveals the real Infinity Gauntlet and then uses it to sublime Thanos. He using the pointer finger blasted Thanos and his helicopter. This blast became the “Finger Blast”.

But the fight didn’t end up there. In Deadpool vs. Thanos by Elmo Bondoc, Joe Sabino, Tim Seeley, and Ruth Redmond, the story made a jump. Both Deadpool and Thanos need to give up their love-triangle fight which they share with Mistress Death. Or else they would fail to save Death from a mysterious Kidnapper. As Death had disappeared all of a sudden from the planet. Later it was discovered that Mistress Death was kidnapped by Eternity. Also, Death gave both of them her strength so that they could succeed in killing Eternity.
How Deadpool becomes the Captain Universe?
Thanos then beats the hell out of Eternity and tries his every will to destroy Eternity as well as the Universe. Therefore, Deadpool tries to stop him from doing any of it but he fails. Thanos pushes into Eternity and there he is used by Eternity’s guardian Uni-Power as its host. He is transformed into a cosmic being – Captain Universe. Thereafter, Deadpool aka Captain Universe then leaves the Eternity and went on to beat Thanos. He continues to do it until he explodes and becomes nothing.
Keeping in mind the alternate timelines multi universes, it doesn’t come as surprise to any of us that Deadpool killed Thanos. However, even after Thanos is killed by Deadpool twice, he is still loved by Death. She wants Thanos to be around and knows his bent towards her. But the question that always pops up – Can Thanos die?
