Ever since The Avengers launched in 2012, Marvel has been successful in creating the most profitable superhero team-up in recent history. The film became a field workplace success. Although most of the movies heavily depended on CGI, there is one component that is extremely genuine. After the movie was launched Marvel Cinematic Universe Broadened its spectrum with new films featuring superheroes like Spiderman (Tom Holland), Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), and the Guardians of the Galaxy (Chris Patt and others).
The Avengers used real military police
The Avengers appears to be intriguing among followers who still revisit the film and a rigorous battle scene that will always remain a fan favourite. What is interesting is, 25 members of the Ohio-based 391st Military Police Battalion acted as extras while the scene was filmed. In order to give more realism to the movie role of the military police, the United States Army, Army.mil, soldiers who fall under the Fort Meade, Md.-based 200th Military Police Command, spent nearly a week or more shooting for the Avengers’ battle scene.
Lt. Col. John Clearwater, the deputy director for OCPA-LA, said, “The combat scenes had great realism. It’s a tribute to the U.S. Army Reserves and the veteran 391st MP Battalion. They rocked the streets of Cleveland with their 50-caliber machine guns and Mark-19’s. The film crew was blown away by their firepower and teamwork.”
Staff Sgt. Michael T. Landis said that he felt that the director using actual Soldiers in an Avengers movie is going to be an amazing experience for everyone involved. He also stated, “It’s easy for us to make on-the-spot corrections to tactics and uniforms. The director actually took our recommendation on one scene and let us all engage the enemy as opposed to only the gunners in the trucks engaging.”
