Production of the Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi series of Disney Plus will begin next month. The Disney Plus, Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi series stars Ewan McGregor. It is considered as one of the brightest spots of the Star Wars prequel. Many fans are already waiting for the official announcement for McGregor’s return to the Galaxy. Lucasfilm has confirmed at D23 2019 that he would be part of an untitled series of Disney Plus.
It has been a year since the show was announced. The show has faced a lot of problems since then. There were rumors about the series that it will be scrapped. Though the rumors were false.
No doubt the production was indefinitely halted for a time. And so the scope of the show differed. Around the period the drama with Obi-Wan transpired, McGregor indicated that filming was propelled to early 2021. This was announced before coronavirus.
Now here is another report from Making Star Wars. It says that the production on the Obi-Wan Disney Plus series could start in September. The series would be filmed next month at the location that was used for The Mandalorian.

Delay till 2021
One of the earlier plans for the Kenobi Disney Plus show is filming that would begin in August. It was before McGregor confirmed the delay till 2021. There is still a lot of uncertainty in the report. This could mean that filming could really happen in September or later as well.
If production would not begin next month for Obi-Wan’s show, it’s unspecified if that means McGregor will be the desired on the set or not. It could be possible that the outdoor location would be used to have some shots. These shots might not be possible in the winters.
Fans will be happy if the production takes place next month. After all, it’s been 15 years that McGregor has played Obi-Wan Kenobi in Star Wars: Episode III- Revenge of the Sith.
