Phil Spencer, Xbox boss is hinting that The Elder Scrolls 6 could be the forthcoming Xbox/PC exclusive. The Elder Scrolls 6 Will Be Released Exclusively.
Next to Microsoft’s Bethesda, fans have been abandoning thinking if the new titles of the company encompassing The Elder Scrolls 6 and the next Fallout, would be made accessible on PlayStation and other platforms. And thus, The Elder Scrolls 6 Will Be Released Exclusively.
In an interview with Kotaku, Phil Spencer has teased that these games will not be coming to PlayStation as well as Switch.
Stephen Totilo of Kotaku had asked Spencer if the company can ‘recoup a $7.5 billion investment if you don’t sell Elder Scrolls 6 on the PlayStation?’
The Elder Scrolls 6 Will Be Released Exclusively, Spencer Confirmed
To which Spencer replied, “Yes.” Well, that’s us told then.”
“I don’t want to be flip about that. This deal was not done to take games away from another player base like that.:
He elaborated, “Nowhere in the documentation that we put together was: ‘How do we keep other players from playing these games?’ We want more people to be able to play games, not fewer people to be able to go play games.” He wanted all to play these titles and so The Elder Scrolls 6 Will Be Released Exclusively.
Well, this sounds promising. Phil Spencer wants more people to play games. He said, “But I’ll also say in the model – I’m just answering directly the question that you had – when I think about where people are going to be playing and the number of devices that we had, and we have xCloud and PC and Game Pass and our console base, I don’t have to go ship those games on any other platform other than the platforms that we support to kind of make the deal work for us.”
“Whatever that means.” But we assume it means that The Elder Scrolls 6 Will Be Released Exclusively.
Microsoft has already acquired ZeniMax Media, Publisher Bethesda Softworks, and all the subsidiary studios of ZeniMax for $7.5 billion in September.
Microsoft now has the ownership of all the studios and it seems as if Microsoft would release the new titles exclusively. While speaking about the acquisition, Spencer said, “We’ll take other consoles on a case-by-case basis.”
While Satya Nadella, Microsoft Chief Executive Officer, added, “When we think about strategy whether it’s in gaming or any other part of Microsoft, each layer has to stand on its own for what it brings.”
“When we talk about our content we want our content to be broadly available.”
