Emilia Clarke revealed her awful Game of Thrones experience

Emilia Clarke shared her terrible Game of Thrones experience that could have ended the career of the actress.

The mother of dragons Emilia Clark who played Daenerys Targaryen in all eight seasons of the hit HBO show spoke about some of the awful moments she faced on and off-screen while shooting for the show.  The popular series Game of Thrones made Emilia Clarke a worldwide sensation. However, did you know Game of Thrones could have ended her career and life? Yes, you read it right! Find out how!

Emilia Clarke’s Game of Thrones’ experience:

During an interview with The New Yorker, Emilia Clarke gets candid and revealed her challenging journey of Game of Thrones. She said she suffered two debilitating brain injuries while filming the first two seasons of GOT and because of the injury she could have ended her career and life. “I had just finished filming season 1 of Game of Thrones, then I was stuck with the first of two aneurysms”

Emilia hasn’t fully recovered from Game of Thrones:

The 34-year-old actress revealed that she was working out with her trainer in Londen when she experienced a painful headache that felt like an elastic band that was squeezing her brain. Further, she mentioned the pain eventually became so intense that she had almost crawl before falling to her knees and becoming “violently, voluminously ill”

“Meanwhile the pain—shooting, stabbing, constricting pain—was getting worse. At some level, I knew that was happening: my brain was damaged”.

Later Clarke explained, “If I was to live type and avoid terrible deficits, I would have to have urgent surgery. And even then there was no guarantee”. However, she took the risk and went for the surgery and spent almost two weeks to recover from the surgery. But the surgery wasn’t entirely successful and Emilia was left unable to remember her name after suffering from a condition known as aphasia—when a person has difficulty with their language or speech caused by damage to the left side of the brain. And this is the reason Emilia Clarke never recovered mentally from Game of Thrones.

Clearly, Emilia has to sacrifice a lot to portray the iconic character.
