This teen drama which was a go-to resort for last year’s lockdown is coming back for another season and here’s everything you should know about it.
The co-creators ‘Mindy Kaling and Lang Fisher and their ‘coming-of-age teen comedy series is the story of an American Indian girl living in Southern California. The character of ‘Devi Vishwakumar played by the actress ‘Maitreyi Ramakrishnan’ and she surely is coming back for another season. The series seems to be following in the footsteps of Sex Education and Atypical and tries to gather the attention of audiences by showcasing the lives of teens and their issues. Since season 1 had its share of popularity, people awaited the release of the season. And guess what guys, your prayers have been answered….the trailer is out now and the second season is officially releasing.
Revelations By The Trailer:
Giving us some insight as to what to expect from season 2, the trailer gives us some clear indications. The big question – who will be Devi’s boyfriend before she moves to India? Since she has a crush on 2 boys, it’s a difficult question to ask. So will it be Ben Gross (aka Jaren Lewison) or Paxton Hall-Yoshida (aka Darren Barnet) or is there a third option and she’ll date both of them and be in a relationship with 2 people?
Never Have I Ever Season 2 Release Date
According to sources (and well, official reports too), Never Have I Ever season 2 will be airing on the streaming platform Netflix on July 15, 2021. Netflix announced the renewal of the show for a second season back in 2020 (after the successful show gathered after its release last year). Since Mindy so wanted a renewal, she and the entire cast too are very delighted and Mindy said “I felt lucky to be able to do a show about an Indian nerd who’s also badly behaved, to show that because I am deeply familiar with it”.
Along with most of the season 1-star cast returning to the show, four new members will be joining the show as was confirmed by the makers. Back in November 2020, the creators released a video to show that the shooting has resumed. It was also confirmed that ‘Megan Suri’ will be joining the show. Along with her, American actor ‘Tyler Alvarez’ is also set to join the show. By mid-December last year, another pair of actors were welcomed to the series naming ‘Utkarsh Ambudkar’ and ‘P.J.Byrne’. Mindy also revealed that Devi will continue working on her and her anger issues.
