Brie Larson has confirmed that she has auditioned for the new Star Wars movies. Larson is known for playing Carol Danvers, a female pilot who becomes Captain Marvel. Larson has reprised her role in Avengers: Endgame. Thus happened after Captain Marvel grossed $1billion worldwide. The actress was in a candid conversation when she talked about her failures in auditions.
In 2015, Larson won the Best Actress for playing a captive mother in Room. The Force Awakens premiered in the same year. It launched a new trilogy for the Star Wars franchise. This was the time when a new trio of heroes was needed. The actress has been vocal about her love for Star Wars. She stated that she wanted to be a Jedi. She had even auditioned for Rogue One. But she didn’t get cast in the film.
Larson has mentioned this earlier also, she has auditioned for Star Wars but didn’t get the part in the film. Though, now in a new video that she has posted on her youtube channel, she has confirmed that she has auditioned for all Star Wars movies.
Statement of Larson
She said, “I didn’t get Gossip Girl, and I’m really glad. I auditioned for Hunger Games and I didn’t get it. I auditioned for Tomorrowland and I didn’t get it. I auditioned for all of the new Star Wars movies and I didn’t get it. I don’t even know why I’m saying I didn’t get it. Like, you know I didn’t.”
Larson is out of a few actors who are vocal about their failure along with successes. However, Larson has not mentioned the parts that she has auditioned for. But her persistence has paid off. She will be reprising her role as Captain Marvel in Captain Marvel 2. Also, there could be a role for her in Star Wars as well.
Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios, has teased that he has a role for a major actor in the upcoming Star Wars movie. If it will be an actor or actress is yet to be answered.
The time will tell if fans will be seeing Brie Larson in Galaxy of Star Wars. But the honesty of Larson is incredible.
