Jude Law has shared his feelings and thoughts on the recent firing of Johnny Depp from Fantastic Beasts 3 and how it is depending on the franchise’s future.
He has explained the recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, “In a franchise like this, it’s the studio and the company that makes the big decisions.”
He further added, “And you have to go along with those because we’re just a member of the team.” Law, who has played an inexperienced Albus Dumbledore during his days as a Hogwarts educator in the franchise, also interpreted the forthcoming Fantastic Beasts film as possessing “many, many layers to it.
He said, “It’s probably one of the biggest productions I’ve ever worked on. And in a situation like this, you defer to the studio. That’s all you can do. Because you have to turn up and play your part. It was unusual for me because, in fact, on this particular role, Johnny had only done a day’s filming.”
Fantastic Beasts 3 Pushed To 2022
Warner Bros. is nowadays peeking into Hannibal star Mads Mikkelsen as an alternate casting for Depp. Some fans wished to have Colin Farrell, who teased Grindelwald’s cover personality of Percival Graves in the initial movie, reprising his role.
Because of the departure of Depp, the Fantastic Beasts 3 whose production was delayed because of the coronavirus pandemic. The release dates are pushed from 2021 to 2022.
Fantastic Beasts 3 is directed by David Yates and is written by JK Rowling and Steve Kloves. It stars Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Ezra Miller, Jude Law, and Dan Fogler. The film is expected to arrive on July 15, 2022.
